After Colton got down from his high chair, he couldn't put any weight on his left leg. He crawled to get around and wouldn't stand on that leg. After 30 minutes or so, he could walk again. However, this kept happening over the next few days on and off. On Thursday morning, it happened again and he had intervals of seeming ok and then would want me to hold him, but squirmed all around while crying. This kept getting worse, so I took him to the doctor. While we were at the doctor, it (whatever it was) seemed to bother him even more and he was clearly in a lot of pain. After a lot of blood draws, a visit to get x-rays and returning to the doctor's office, they decided that he had been exposed to a virus and his antibodies were attacking his hip-thus the pain. I don't have a clue how they figured it out, but he seemed to do better after some motrin.
He seemed fine, so we went to visit Kelly and the boys on Friday around lunch. We had such a fun time with them! Colton loves playing with them. His favorite thing at their house this time was throwing decorative rocks (previously in a fish tank). I was shocked to wake up on Saturday morning at 8 and find that Colton was still asleep. He slept until 9:20! Crazy and wonderful for me! On Saturday, we did a lot of tax-free shopping and then all drove back to Apex. Tony's flight was delayed, so they stayed in Apex until today! We went swimming this morning before they left today. We'll miss them!
We were getting ready to eat dinner at the Allen's on Saturday night around 8 something and Kelly and I heard Colton crying. She ran to get him (he had wondered into Kari's room) and he had blood dripping down his face. We wiped him off and discovered a fairly deep cut on the side of his head by his ear. After I got him to calm down and eat a little bit, we took him to the ER to see if he needed stitches. The Apex ER was nice and EMPTY! We were only in there an hour probably. The doctor was great also, and glued his cut back together. Isn't it awesome that they can do that instead of needles and stitches!? Colton seemed fine when he woke up on Sunday morning. He had been pretty grouchy today, but otherwise great!
What a weekend!

He's such a good boy. I do like that he seems to have a goatee in the first two pics :)
